There are many physical & emotional benefits to Pregnancy Massage. 


Massage reduces peripheral swelling, soothes the nervous system, helps to prevent insomnia, muscle cramps and back pain and releases general tension in your body that occur. 


Due to the many changes your body is experiencing during pregnancy, your muscles can become very tight and short which creates tension and soreness to these areas. Massage during pregnancy also helps promotes postural correction especially around the shoulders, neck and hips.


Care must be taken during the first trimester but Pregnancy Massage is beneficial throughout the whole pregnancy. We generally promote massage treatment from weeks 13. *(Regular massage clients may continue their treatment during the first 12 weeks if they wish.)


Regular massage throughout the pregnancy is also believed to shorten labour time and speed up the return to optimal health & fitness.
